Early Career
I began my career in New York City, after I graduated from Brown University with a degree in Sociology. I worked in magazines and advertising, at Condé Nast, Ogilvy, and Publicis Groupe. I thought i had it all figured out, as that led me to my MBA at Columbia Business School. I was on the achievement train, and hitting all the marks.
Pivot into Coaching
After launching (and walking away from) my first company and working in the VC-funded startup world, I was burned out. I wanted to do something with deeper meaning, and I wanted to build something of my own. I started a resume editing business as a side hustle, and it slowly grew into a small career coaching company.
Launching Career Coach Mandy
In 2021, I started a TikTok account, where I talked about healing from work baggage, how to navigate toxic work stuff, and how to find what you actually love. That led me to launch a few self-help journals (which you can buy from this site!), all grounded in self-inquiry and empowerment.
My First Book
